The operating pass considered South Africa’s Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, the Consumer Protection Act, and the Information Regulator’s POPIA guidance. Applicability depends on the buyer, transaction and processing; mandatory law overrides these pages.
Before meaningful volume: obtain South African legal review, confirm Information Officer registration and PAIA duties, document processors and international transfers, complete a privacy impact assessment, and obtain formal trademark clearance for the trading style and descriptive use of “MCP”.
